Founder: Mrs. Beulah Joseph-Clunis Co-founders: Mrs. Dianna Lincoln and Ms. Michelle Roberts
Mrs. Dianna name our group after the biblical Dorcas in Acts 9:39-42

Our Aims and Objectives:
To promote the interest and welfare of the community by fostering spiritual, cultural, recreational, educational, social, and environmental activities. To cooperate with government and other agencies in the promotion of development activities, aimed at improving life and restoring hope in the community. To establish a capable youth arm that will be interacting with other youths in the community, instilling good values and morals. To utilize and maintain our natural resources, (with which are so bountifully blessed) creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for us and our visitors.

Matelot Today:
In an effort to restore the community center,we rolled up our sleeves and began a clean-up drive.
We have struggled to establish ourselves as women who are empowered to make Matelot a more recognized village on the north coast. We wish to be of greater service to our community.

Our first step is to beautify our river area.

We put God first in everything. He will direct our paths.
